Possable to install Plesk on VPS that already has a site running on it?

Is it possable to install Plesk on VPS that already has a site running on it?

I am in need of a FTP and Control Panel so got Plesk but tried installing Plesk and i get this error.

Warning
some problems are found during E: unable to process /ect/mysql/my.cnf: rc+127 ( see log file: /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_12.5.30_installation.log)

Any help would be great i am new to this VPS thing.
