Happiness in Marketing

I am currently 18 years old and going into college soon. I plan to major in marketing but the more I think about it the more I'm leaning away from it. It seems that there is minimal self gratification or happiness in the field. That being said I've had no experience in it so what do I know. Can anybody give me some insight about this? I'm extremely conflicted and don't have very much time.
