Could this website publishing idea be profitable?

I'm thinking of starting a website which only publishes curated articles from a specific niche. (Best articles in that niche from around the web)

As a leverage for writers to allow me to publish their articles on my website, I'll run Facebook ads on the articles, which will get them exposure, and at the same time, the ads will be driving traffic to my website.

1. Could this be profitable?
   
   
2. Money aside, what are your thoughts on this as a business model?
