If you were going to start an emagazine. What methods would you use?

Hello,
I recently got back into computers and would like to start a project developing an E-Magazine/(hopefully someday a published magazine) for product that is not released till 2020. It is time to start building a fanbase. How would you go about it? Any advice is appreciated.

So far I am planning on a discussion forum
News Releases
RSS feeds
Posting content and photoshopped images that are speculation.
