Why so many hits from Russia

We have recently launched a new range of products which we are publicising on FB, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest etc. Whenever we check Google Analytics it seems that 50% of all hits are from Russia and we have no idea why. Looking at the map just about every state in Russia has visited our pages - this makes no sense. We are in the UK. Would be glad if anyone can explain this. It may, of course be that out of the whole world Russians are crazy about our products but this is not really credible.
